SEO for a Game Site

  Here's what I learned about SEO while building a game site. It might not be perfect, just notes for myself. There were already plenty of game sites when I started, so I wasn't trying to reinvent anything. Mostly I just figured out what keywords to use for the homepage and individual pages, then planned out what content each page should have. Homepage People should be able to start playing the moment they land on the page. I've seen sites that fill their homepage with a wall of game options. That works fine for established platforms like CrazyGames or Poki—they have brand recognition and aren't pushing one specific game. But when you're building a site around traffic for a particular game and plan to expand later, the homepage needs to feature that game front and center, ready to play. It keeps people around.
